Helvar’s technology integrated in modern office in Dubai 

In collaboration with our esteemed partner Light Link, we implemented the lighting control system for the new Dubai Media City office of one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies.

This project was driven by a vision of innovation, sustainability, and employee well-being, aligning perfectly with Helvar’s commitment to creating intelligent and human-centric environments.

Our wired lighting control system enhances the workspace experience by fostering an inviting, functional ambiance that supports productivity and wellbeing. The Helvar Application Controllers 910 and 905 formed the system’s backbone, ensuring seamless and efficient lighting management throughout the space. Our advanced sensors were used to optimise energy efficiency through occupancy detection and daylight harvesting, thus maintaining a comfortable environment. For user convenience, we incorporated Illustris 191PB scene controls, allowing for intuitive and personalised lighting adjustments.

The new workspace is thoughtfully designed to balance functionality and flexibility, featuring a harmonious blend of formal and informal meeting areas, multifunctional zones, open-plan workstations, focused workspaces, and a contemporary conference area. To ensure reliable communication between our lighting system and the building management system (BMS), we used a BACnet Gateway. It acts as a translator, enabling both systems to exchange data smoothly- from occupancy status to energy usage.

Our lighting control system supports LEED and WELL Gold certification goals by enabling energy-efficient lighting strategies and meeting requirements for user comfort, daylight harvesting, and occupancy-based lighting. By integrating our advanced lighting control solutions, we contributed to creating a workspace that not only meets the highest standards of sustainability but also prioritises the comfort and productivity of its occupants.
