A busy interior design office with an open plan environment that requires an easy to use flexible lighting solution that will encourage staff interaction in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.

A manual control is required at each entrance point for overall control of the main work areas, which are subsequently zoned and controlled via absence detection and daylight harvesting to achieve the maximum energy savings.

Ancillary areas such as storage rooms, print & copy areas and communal breakout zones are also controlled via sensors to provide occupancy detection. Notional corridors and access routes are controlled via sensors and time schedules that make use of the "hold on” feature to ensure the areas remain lit if a office space is occupied.

Luminaires used consist of recessed 600x600 modular for direct lighting of the working surface and wall mounted fluorescent luminaires with indirect lighting for effect and some general illuminance.

A business environment with executive cellular offices. An easy to use flexible lighting solution is required to encourage business development in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.

A control point is required at each office entrance. Maximum energy savings are to be made via absence detection and daylight harvesting without compromising the user’s control. Desk task lighting is locally controlled and provides appropriate levels of comfort as determined by the user.

Corridor is controlled automatically by presence detection only. Luminaires used consist of directional spotlights for accent lighting and comfort, suspended fluorescent luminaires with indirect lighting for general illuminance and direct lighting for task specific use. The corridor is lit by indirect lighting only.

A boardroom requires an easy to use flexible lighting solution to allow the room to be used for different purposes from meetings to presentations and video conferencing.

A control point is required by each entrance to provide scene setting control. Remote control of scene setting and current level adjustment is needed from any location in the room for user convenience. Interfacing from the Audio Visual equipment is to provide integrated control.

Energy saving benefits and low cost of ownership is to be provided by absence detection and daylight harvesting, but without compromising user comfort.

The main room lighting is provided by suspended fluorescent fittings using controllable electronic ballast’s. Low voltage halogen with electronic dimming transformers is used for accent and decorative effect.

An open plan kitchen and dining area requiring an easy to use flexible lighting solution that enables entertaining and interaction with guests in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.

A combined control point is required in the kitchen to provide appropriate task lighting for the food preparation and at the same time giving control to the dining area to create the right ambience. A secondary control is required within the dining area.

Sunblinds within the kitchen and dining areas are also to be controlled form the same switch locations.

Luminaires used consist of decorative chandelier, low voltage ceiling recessed halogen downlights for general lighting, directional spotlights for accent, and the concealed non-dimmable cabinet lighting to provide the task lighting.
