Cundall‘s Warsaw office is a workspace designed for wellbeing, efficiency, and net zero performance. The foundation lies in every carefully considered element – especially the lighting. In partnership with our local Partner HC Center, we delivered an advanced lighting control system that blends functionality with sustainable and human-centric design, aligning perfectly with Cundall’s vision for people-focused, sustainable. 

Lighting open-plan spaces presents unique challenges – these areas must support both focused work and collaboration, often with changing layouts. 

This future-ready space is powered by Helvar Imagine wired lighting control system. Cundall needed a solution that could provide both Tunable White for occupant wellbeing and intelligent control for energy efficiency. The system includes, among others, Imagine DALI application controller (the brain of the system), ST7 touch display panels with customisable pages and button functions, Illustris user interfaces, and Helvar Multisensors – together delivering personalised, feature rich, and efficient lighting control across the office.

Tunable-white lighting in the open-plan space supports circadian rhythms, promoting comfort and focus throughout the day. Occupancy sensing and daylight harvesting further reduce unnecessary energy use, helping to cut lighting energy consumption by up to 50% – directly contributing to lower operational carbon. 

Lighting control systems like Helvar Imagine play a key role in the transition to net zero buildings. By reducing lighting energy use through smart scheduling, occupancy detection, and daylight harvesting, they directly lower operational carbon. Smart lighting control contributes to net zero goals by lowering peak electricity demand, and maintaining efficient performance throughout a building’s lifecycle. 

This project reflects the kind of smart, flexible and future-proof design that engineers, designers, and specifiers can build on as they work toward low-carbon, future-ready buildings.
