Harmonizing Hospitality: The Stages Hotel, Prague, Lighting Transformation

The Stages Hotel Prague, a design hotel, is strategically located in close proximity to the O2 arena and the O2 universum congress centre. Its purpose is to enhance the cultural experience of visitors to these versatile establishments. The project was implemented by Helvar partner, DNA Central Europe s.r.o.

The entire building is intricately woven with architectural elements inspired by music, which can be discovered at every turn, including the room furnishings. This hotel offers a total of 300 rooms, including 27 luxurious suites. An underground car park provides parking for up to 100 vehicles. In recognition of its excellence, the building was awarded the prestigious title of Building of the Year for 2022.
In this context, our company implemented the Helvar IMAGINE lighting control system. For DALI control within the installation, we utilized DALI routers 910 and 905. To manage non-dimmable luminaires or other loads in the DALI system, we installed single-channel DALI relay units featuring voltage-free contacts, as well as 8-channel relay units equipped with inrush current-resistant relays.
The integration of non-dimmable loads into the IMAGINE system was facilitated through the deployment of 4-channel DALI-compatible relay units. Additionally, we incorporated DALI mini-input units for pushbuttons and switches. For the efficient control of blinds and roller shutters, including the management of their motors with a capacity of up to 550 W in both directions, we employed 2-channel blind controllers.
The lighting within corridors is meticulously controlled using PIR sensors that offer an extended detection range of up to 41 metres. Finally, we installed ST7-X Scene Touch Panels to monitor and control technology across a wide spectrum of applications, ensuring seamless and convenient management.
