ActiveAhead sensors, equipped with intelligent algorithms, constantly monitor the ambient light levels and occupancy in each room. This real-time data allows the system to automatically adjust the lighting levels, ensuring that the right amount of light is provided when and where it is needed.
One of the key features of the Helvar ActiveAhead system is its daylight harvesting capabilities. The sensors are designed to detect the available natural light in a room and balance it with artificial lighting. By harnessing natural daylight, the system optimises energy usage by reducing reliance on artificial lighting during daylight hours. This not only reduces energy consumption but also creates a more pleasant and comfortable learning environment for students and staff.
Another great feature is the easy installation of Helvar ActiveAhead. “We didn’t need to use any new cables and according to the installers on-site, the commissioning was very easy due to the app being simple to operate.”, explains Andreas Dahlström, Project Leader at Örnsbergs El & Data AB.
“The energy-saving benefits of the Helvar ActiveAhead system extend beyond daylight harvesting. The intelligent sensors detect occupancy in each room and adjust the lighting accordingly. When a room is unoccupied, the system automatically dims or turns off the lights to conserve energy. As soon as occupancy is detected, the lighting brightens up to ensure a well-lit space for activities. This responsive lighting control not only enhances energy efficiency but also contributes to Karsby International’s sustainability goals”, says Jan Bietkowski, Head of Sales, Helvar AB.
